Why Acupuncture?

It can help with

Emotional Health

According to the World Health Organization, the main cause of disability around the world is depression. It is a silent disease; but since the pandemic, it is becoming increasingly more important that we talk about ways to support anyone suffering. In Chinese medicine, there is no differentiation between the physical body and the emotional body. All vital organs in Chinese medicine are associated with an emotion. For example, the kidneys relate to will power and the motivation to put one foot in front of the other. In this situation, our treatment focuses on boosting kidney qi (the internal motive force) and removing internal blockages or stagnation that are getting in the way of qi moving freely. Feeling liberated from this “stuck” feeling so many people experience after an acupuncture treatment is what keeps people struggling with mental and emotional well being coming back for more.

A good acupuncturist wants to get to the root. This is why our intakes are so thorough. Emotional imbalances are commonly linked to gut/ digestive issues or sleep disorders. We strive to see the whole you in all of its amazing potential so that you can too.
